INMATE PHONES

 

Securus Technology operates the telephone system. All personal phone calls are collect calls and are subject to being monitored or recorded. If there is a problem with the phone system, please call 1-800-844-6591 for assistance OR visit correctionalbillingservices.com.

Huber inmates and minimum classification inmates may have the opportunity to purchase pre-paid calling cards. These are available through Correctional Staff as time permits.

Jail staff will not be able to take messages for inmates, unless it is a verifiable medical emergency or death.

 

INMATE E-MAIL

Turnkey Corrections is now offering E-Mail to inmates at the Eau Claire County Jail.

Friends and family members now have the ability to e-mail inmates held at the Eau Claire County Jail. Rather than having to wait for the Post Office to send and deliver mail, friends and family can e-mail from any computer, IPad or Cell phone using the latest technology from TurnKey Corrections.

How to E-Mail your friend or relative in jail:

Go to website, http://www.inmatecanteen.com/. This is the same site that you go to order canteen or deposit funds on inmates' accounts.
Registration - if you don't already have an account with TurnKey complete the registration information.and make a deposit for a communication account.
Select your inmate.
Follow the easy three step process to send your first e-mail.
Once this is completed, you will be provided an e-mail address that will allow you to send e-mails direct from your e-mail account. You will not have to log into the website to send messages once you have completed the registration process.
All messages are reviewed and approved by jail staff and once approved, go right to the inmate kiosk for the inmate to view and respond.
When the inmate responds, the e-mail comes directly to your e-mail address. Again, you do not have to log in to any website to view messages.
E-mails both coming and going are only $0.25 each which is cheaper than mail and in most cases, instance communication
